JANA SHERIF

My story starts with my name “Jana” which is mentioned in the Holy Quran meaning fruit of paradise or to earn or harvest. I believe my name guides me to who I am in all means and to what I do now. I do branding, poster design, Arabic typography and freestyle calligraphy, editorial design, and am finding my way through type design too!

I like to go places, discover, document and analyze; I love research as much as I love to design; I love to come up with ideas and sketch them. I love to share my work with the world, share my values, and share my process. I love the process. I love the results. I love design; that’s why you’re probably visiting my website!

Branding

I assist well-known businesses in expressing their identities and engaging their audience in exciting ways. Whether online or in-store, the aim is to reach the audience and create a real community.

Typography/Calligraphy

Developing solutions for every project, based on the concept, the content, and the context. This consists of creating handwritten calligraphic pieces and designing fonts for the screen.

Poster Design

Utilizing the skills of graphic design and usually have more flexibility and freedom beyond traditional marketing methods to help in building the awareness of the brand.

Type Design

Making the connection between technology and design of type to unlock business opportunities.
